We have invited past council, past staff, stakeholders and associated groups to share and celebrate this occassion. Scam warning for elderly over letters

An advocacy group for the elderly is warning pensioners of a potential scam involving personalised letters. The warning comes after a Tauranga woman was sent a personalised letter from Spain. The letter had authentic-looking markings from an overseas postal service. It claimed the woman, who only wanted to be identified as Betty, had won more than $500,000.

Aged Care Funding to Increase

The Government will put $70m over four years into aged care and dementia services.

Health Minister Tony Ryall said the funding, to be included in the Budget on May 16, would help older New Zealanders to be healthier and independent.
